An acoustic panel is an acoustic device used in professional music listening, creation, and distribution environments. Acoustic panels are primarily used in places such as recording studios, concert halls, operas, theaters, and cinemas. They can also be found in university lecture halls.
Among acoustic panels, we can distinguish three main types based on their application:
absorbers (responsible for absorbing the energy of sound waves);
diffusers (responsible for dispersing the energy of sound waves);
acoustic screens (responsible for reflecting sound waves).
The use of these acoustic devices can significantly change the acoustic properties of specific rooms and adapt them for new purposes. Acoustic panels can also be successfully used in residential spaces.
