An orderly format for reverb control

Open-cell Basotect® absorbs sound energy, and the fixed rectangular format makes surface planning easy. The chart shows curves for 3, 5 and 7 cm thicknesses - the thicker the panel, the more effective the absorption of lower frequencies.

Reducing mid and high reflections helps achieve a clearer voice in calls and recordings.
The greater the thickness (from 3 to 7 cm), the better the performance at lower frequencies.
The rectangles can be placed horizontally or vertically, extending the absorbing surface.
Greater thickness provides better absorption of low frequencies.

Sound absorption coefficient α

Curves for 3, 5 and 7 cm thicknesses. Conditions: 23°C, relative humidity approx. 48%; range 250-4000 Hz.
